?Astralis made quite a statement with their 2-0 sweeps of FaZe Clan and Heroic during the IEM Cologne group stage, but they came out short against Natus Vincere (1-2) in Group B upper bracket finals. Virtus.pro, on the other side, were far less convincing with their showings last week.
The Russians lost their Group A opener against BIG (0-2) and needed a perfect run through the lower bracket to qualify for the tournament’s final stage. There they beat Complexity (2-1), Ninjas in Pyjamas (2-0), and claimed a revenge win against BIG (2-0).
Going 6-1 in the lower bracket might look good, but we have to consider the quality of teams VP had to face. Astralis have been just as efficient (6-1) in their journey to the IEM Cologne playoffs, albeit against significantly better teams.
Virtus.pro can definitely win one map off Astralis, but we wouldn’t expect much more from them. Astralis to win at $1.65 is a no-brainer pick for us.

?IEM Cologne quarter-finals will culminate with an exciting clash between the current no.1 team and the surging FaZe Clan. Gambit Esports entered IEM Cologne as the favourites to win the trophy, but they are now priced as second-favourites on the outright market at $3.50, behind Natus Vincere ($3.00).
That isn’t too surprising, considering Gambit’s shaky showings during the group stage. They edged past mousesports (2-1) and Ninjas in Pyjamas (2-1) only to lose against G2 Esports (1-2) in upper bracket finals.
FaZe Clan ended the group stage with a 3-1 record, which included a 0-2 loss to Astralis, and three back-to-back victories against Team Spirit (2-1), Team Vitality (2-0), and Heroic (2-1). Not a very clean run, but arguably much more impressive than Gambit’s.
There is a world where FaZe Clan cause an upset, but it’s hard to bet against a team that was as dominant as Gambit throughout this season. However, Gambit have not been playing as well on LAN and seem more than capable of dropping at least one map.
