In a Twitter thread, Disguised Toast announced that he had let go of the entire team due to role issues and financial hardships. The streamer went on to thank the squad for their time and wished them well in future pursuits.

It is worthy of note that Disguised Toasts comments were made in jest and a reference to Cloud9s statement after releasing Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker. Shortly after the announcement, the YouTuber joked in a Twitch stream that getting fired after failing to qualify was the natural order of things in the esports industry.

This is the esports scene, baby. You fail to qualify; you get fired, Disguised Toast said.

You lose a LOCK//IN tournament; you get fired. I dont make the rules; I learned this from watching other orgs.

He also threw a lighthearted jab at fellow streamer Flix “xQc” Lengyel and his failed signing of Valorant squad, Turtle Troops. Disguised Toast joked, You dont make MSI, that contract I was gonna offer you? Im pulling it; Im ghosting you guys.

DSGs Game Changers squad were reportedly created to generate some attention for the esports scene which they did and smashed records in the process. More than 100,000 viewers tuned in to watch their debut match on Valorant America’s official Twitch channel and other co-streams.

All the streamers/players were reportedly in on the joke, with some posting about not being paid. This was reportedly part of the requirements to create the team.

North American esports teams like 100 Thieves, FaZe and The Guards have not had the best start to the year both competitively and in organizational matters. NA Valorant squads have notably not taken home a win in a long time and have dropped several prominent players like yay as a result.

DSGs lineup included Kyedae Shymko, Sydney “Sydeon” Parker, Tenzin “TrulyTenzin” Dolkar, Jodi “QuarterJade” Lee, and Lydia “Tupperwareplays” Wilson, with ex-CS:GO player Corey “ruin” Hartog as head coach.

During their short time together, the squad earned their first win in a match against SHIFT X in the open qualifiers. They, however, lost two consecutive times to Evil Geniuses and SHIFT X in a rematch. Despite the elimination, Disguised Toasts win in their debut match, with only a week of practice and limited experience in tournament-level competitions is an impressive feat.

Disguised Toast reveals his Valorant team for Challengers League https://www.youxiangrj01.com/disguised-toast-reveals-his-valorant-team-for-challengers-league/ https://www.youxiangrj01.com/disguised-toast-reveals-his-valorant-team-for-challengers-league/#respond Mon, 09 Jan 2023 20:06:34 +0000 https://www.youxiangrj01.com/?p=27366 Disguised Toast, a popular streamer and member of the OfflineTV group, has finally announced the formation of his pro Valorant team, simply known as Disguised or DSG. He revealed his five-man roster earlier today ahead of the Valorant Challengers League open qualifier.

The 31-year old announced the complete roster on his Twitter page as the team looks to feature in the soon-to-begin Valorant Challengers open qualifier.

The team consists of former T1 in-game leader Joshua steel Nissan, Damion XXiF Cook, Drake Exalt Branly, Joseph clear Allen, and Amgalan Genghsta Nemekhbayar. The team will be led by head coach Kyle OCEAN OBrien. The core of the team including Exalt, XXiF, and Genghsta, along with coach OCEAN, had previously competed together on the Knights team in 2022.

The Knights franchise has decided to shift its focus from competing in North American Valorant to running the NA Valorant Challengers League. This league serves as the official second tier of Valorant in North America, below the VCT Americas League. The franchise had earlier this week extended direct invitations to G2, M80, Shopify Rebellion, TSM, The Guard, and FaZe Clan to participate in the main event of the NA Valorant Challengers League.

Now that the deals for Disguised have been finalized, the team will be looking to reach the NA Valorant Challengers League through the open qualifier, which is scheduled to commence on January 9. While making it to the Valorant Challengers League would be great, the team is ultimately looking to make its way to Ascension. The franchise will be competing against other teams in the hopes of becoming one of the six open qualifier teams to reach the league through the open qualifier.

The open qualifier for the NA Valorant Challengers League will be held in two brackets. The first bracket will run from January 9 to January 13, and the top four teams will advance to the league. The second bracket, known as the “last chance” qualifier, will take place from January 17 to January 22 and will advance two teams to the league.

Peradventure the team makes its way to the league, Disguised will be competing against some of the top tier franchises like G2, TSM, and FaZe Clan, who failed to secure a partnered spot on the Riot Games 30 teams list. League play for the NA VALORANT Challengers League begins on February 1 and will consist of two splits, with a mid-season invitational and playoffs.

Disguised Toast has built up a large following on his Twitch stream and YouTube channel, where he primarily plays and streams Valorant. He is known for his humorous personality and engaging commentary, and has attracted a devoted fan base. His foray into professional Valorant is likely to attract even more attention to the team and the league, as his followers tune in to see how Disguised performs against some of the top teams in the region.

The announcement of Disguiseds roster has been highly anticipated, as speculation about which players would be joining the team had been swirling for some time. Many fans will be excited to see how the team performs in the open qualifiers and if it is successful in the NA Valorant Challengers League. It will be interesting to see if Disguised can make a splash in the professional Valorant scene and potentially ascend to the top tier VCT Americas League.

DisguisedToast set to complete his Valorant team https://www.youxiangrj01.com/disguisedtoast-set-to-complete-his-valorant-team/ https://www.youxiangrj01.com/disguisedtoast-set-to-complete-his-valorant-team/#respond Sun, 01 Jan 2023 02:56:59 +0000 https://www.youxiangrj01.com/?p=27136 Taiwanese-Canadian streamer and YouTuber, DisguisedToast is almost at the verge of completing his pro-Valorant squad.

DisguisedToast made the revelation of putting up a team for the first time in October. In a stream, he explained that hes “thinking of starting a team” from the “best available unsigned pro Valorant player[s].”

The streamer has now announced that he has successfully set up the new company. Hence, what is left is to sign a couple more players to add to the three he already signed a contract with recently.

DisguisedToast has also recounted the challenges he has experienced on his way to building up this team, which is quite typical of other Valorant team founders. He explained that he has been struggling with what to call the team. DisguisedToast called on fans to help him pick a reasonable name for the Valorant team. He narrowed the specifics of what he expects from the proposed name that fans may choose. The streamer noted he does not intend to add “Toast” or “esports” to the name.

“Im trying to get these guys to VCT,” he told his chat. “I cant be calling them the Rizz-lords,” he said.

Another challenge he has recounted is looking for sponsors. He also described how difficult it is to get desired players. The streamer revealed the two players he had on his radar and wanted to have on his team were both snatched up by other esports outfits. Although he did not reveal who these players were, several reports allege that it was American Max “Demon1” Mazanov, who apparently has been trailing with DiguisedToast’s team.

“I also had my first team owner experience, of kinda have a player snatched from me. We were going to sign a player, but another org signed him after we scrimmed against them. That player did pretty well,” he said on a stream.
“This is what its like to be involved in esports.”

The North American Valorant Challengers league qualifiers are scheduled to begin as early as January 9, 2023, thus DisguisedToast will most likely be unveiling his lineup and possibly the team name anytime from now. Teams already confirmed to be participating in this Valorant league include G2 Esports, TSM, The Guard, VersionX, Shopify Rebellion, and a couple others.
