?The fixture between Dignitas’ and FlyQuest’s academy rosters will be all about the mid lane, where we will see a matchup between two in-form players in Max “Soligo” Soong and Stephen “Triple” Li.
Many remember Soligo as a starting mid laner for Dignitas’ LCS team, and while he wasn’t exactly a star player, he is way too good to be playing in an academy league. In the first round of the tournament, Soligo proved just that with 7.0 KDA, 61.8% Kill Participation (KP), 400 Damage Per Minute (DPM) and 8.5 Creep Score Per Minute (CSPM) against Immortals Academy.
On the topic of impressive performance metrics, Triple singlehandedly carried FlyQuest Academy past Zoos Gaming last Friday with 4.4 KDA, 72.1% KP, 618 DPM and 10.8 CSPM. Triple has done much more than Soligo, but he needed to perform like a superstar for his team to win. He isn’t getting enough support from his teammates, which especially holds true for the inconsistent bottom-lane duo in ADC Johnson “Johnsun” Nguyen and Han “Dreams” Min-kook.
If Johnsun and Dreams can survive and Triple can outlast Soligo in the mid lane, FlyQuest Academy might come out ahead, but they still need to find a way to deal with Dignitas’ top side and jungler William “Will” Cummins, which is easier said than done. Thus, we are taking the value about the outsiders.

?While Soligo and Triple are star players in their respective teams, Zoos Gaming can always count on their top laner Kieran “Allorim” Logue to show up in clutch moments. Although he hasn’t achieved much over his career, Allorim brings seven years of experience playing at the highest level. Unfortunately, he isn’t able to be the difference-maker for his team since he is usually put on tank duty. Meanwhile, the rest of his team is pretty mediocre.
Immortals Academy lost to Dignitas Academy in the opening round of LCS 2021 Summer Proving Grounds. There aren’t many positives to take from that match, since Immortals got stomped, but we have to note that their top laner Omran “V1per” Shoura played well with the resources he was given.
This match seems like a coin-flip, and while you could favour Immortals Academy, we wouldn’t bet on them at the offered LoL betting odds. Zoos Gaming with a +4.5 kills handicap is the way to go, as it’s unlikely we’re in for a one-sided affair.

TEAM LIQUID ACADEMY vs CLOUD9 AMATEUR LoL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
LoL Betting Odds: | TL Academy $1.08 at GG Bet | C9 Amateur $7.00 at GG Bet |

?Team Liquid Academy are expected to secure a dominant victory over Cloud9 Amateur on Thursday, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. While the offered LoL betting odds on Liquid are very short, they are more than fair considering this roster technically isn’t comprised of academy players.
Unlike Cloud9, who field players with little to no previous experience playing at a professional level, Team Liquid boast two well-known names in top laner Thomas “Jenkins” Tran and jungler Jonathan “Armao” Armao, who have both played in the LCS this season. While you could argue that two players can’t make much of a difference, the current meta heavily favours teams with a strong jungle-top duo that can create early pressure with Heralds – and that’s exactly what TL Academy have here.
The kill line for this match is set at 10.5, which might seem a bit high, but it should be more than achievable for Liquid. They completely obliterated Supernova last week (21-7), and while you could say that Supernova are weaker than Cloud9 Amateur, that doesn’t necessarily mean the latter side will fare any better.

?Not to be confused with Cloud9 Amateur, Cloud9 Academy is a proper second-string team featuring players who have previously competed at pro level, including ADC Calvin “k1ng” Truong.
K1ng, alongside top laner Darshan “Darshan” Upadhyaya and jungler Shern “Shernfire” Cherng Tai, is one of the three players on the team with previous LCS experience, and he is one of the best academy players in his role. Stopping k1ng is one of the main win conditions for any team facing C9 Academy, although they have proven before that they can win via top lane as well.
100 Thieves Next are receiving a lot of respect in the betting markets, which is fair since the 100T organisation is known to produce outstanding talent. However, we have to keep in mind that they recently parted ways with several star players in support Alan “Busio” Cwalina, jungler Maximilian “Chad” Lisitsa, and top laner Noh “Gamsu” Yeong-jin, who left for the academy roster in August.
Without that trio, 100T Next will struggle. That was already evident in their last outing against Wildcard Gaming Red when 100T Next averaged -4984 Gold Difference at 15 minutes (GD@15), -30.3 Average Gold Spent Percentage Difference (GSPD), and -4.54 Gold Percent Rating (GPR). As such, we are taking C9 to cover the kill line.
